Kingfishers

Dear Kingfishers,

It has been lovely for me to see some of your faces (from a safe social distance of course!) as you have come back to school this week. To those of you who have returned to school, I have heard great things about your positivity and ability to adapt to new groups and adults, well done!

To those of you staying at home, you have not been forgotten! Everybody in school looks forward to seeing you all as soon as we can. I have been so impressed by your home-learning and the independence and creativity you have shown. I'd like to celebrate some of your wonderful efforts as a class including Yahya's impressive origami projects and Sid's Aboriginal art below, but I have also received stories and videos that have been brilliantly executed - thank you for sharing them with me.

I hope you are enjoying yourselves and if you want to get in touch, please do!

Much love,

Miss Weston

Apologies for inaccuracies in a week 4 reading comprehension. We are grateful to Mr Sharafeldin for noting and clarifying the following: 'Ramadan is not considered as a festival rather it is a month of worship or rituals. Also, it does not usually fall between June, July, and August, it follows the lunar calendar, usually 354 days/year, which depends on the moon sighting. So Ramadan circulates around the year with a full circle each 33 years (this year Ramadan started at the end of April and will be in April again in 2053)'.

Dear Kingfishers,

I hope you are settling back into the routine of home-learning after two weeks off.

Well done to Noi, Peter, Malachi, Mya, Lydia, Wiktor and Evvi for continuing to show an excellent commitment to Times Tables Rockstars.

Happy Birthday to Peter (22nd April)- I hope you have a brilliant day!

As always, if you have any questions, feedback or just want to share what you've been getting up to at home, my email address is rweston@cuttesloweprimary.org. I'm missing seeing your faces and listening to your news in person so I love hearing from you!

Best wishes,

Miss Weston
